What you see – Soft Touch at Aundh in Pune is a one-stop-shop for home furnishings. It has an easy access and good approach roads.

Spread across two floors, this spacious store stocks a lot to cater to your bedroom, bathroom and living room furnishing needs. Goods are neatly placed on racks for display.

What you get – Soft Touch has pillows, pillow covers, bedcovers, bed sheets, quilts and dohars, towels, mats, fabric for curtain and upholstery, curtain rods and holders, curtain tassels and much more.

The heavy cotton bedcovers start from Rs. 1,300. There are also exclusive satin bedcovers with embroidery for Rs. 1,100 onwards. Bed sheets are reasonably priced between Rs. 175 and Rs. 300. Bedsheets and bedcovers in Jaipuri style are available too. There are luxury quilts (double) that cost up to Rs. 4,000 apart from mattresses and cushions. In mattresses, you can choose from foam, coir, spring and orthopedic ones in brands like ‘Sleepwell’ and ‘Libra’.

Then Soft Touch also has linen for Diwan sets in cotton, silk and satin. There are beautiful square cushion covers with sequin work to add some jazz to your living room. A set of five cushion covers can cost around Rs. 800. You can choose among velvet, cotton and Rajasthani style cushion covers. Grass mats, rubber mats, dhurries and carpets for placing below the center table are also available. You can even get a mat of your required size by getting it cut from the roll.

The variety of fabric for curtains and upholstery at Soft Touch is good. Silk, cotton, polyester, jute, satin and sheer can be found in diverse colors and designs. Designs are elegant and not very bold. Silk curtain fabric is available at Rs. 600-900 per meter, satin at Rs. 300 to Rs. 400 per meter and sheer at Rs. 250-1,400 per meter. There is a decent choice in curtain rods, holders and curtain laces too. Curtain tassels are available at Rs. 250-900 a pair. They have an in-shop tailor to stitch the curtains.

Our verdict – Soft Touch is a well organized store with patient assistants to help you around. It has just enough space to move around but houses every furnishing item your home would need. It is a reasonable store with a good variety in fabric, colors and designs. The choice of goods available is sober and likable. Two wheeler and four wheeler parking is available in front of the store.
